"No tears in heaven, no sorrows given, All will be glory in that land; There'll be no sadness, all will be gladness, When we shall join that happy band. No tears, no tears, no tears up there. Sorrow and pain will all have flown; No tears, no tears, no tears up there, No tears in heaven will be known" (Robert S. Arnold). Here are some impressions about tears and heaven.

Tears. Surely we all have at some given time, or quite possibly many times, have experienced tears in our lives-tears of hurt, frustration, physical pain, or sorrow. The death of a loved one brings tears. Our hearts hurt in a way we possibly have not felt before. If the death is sudden or unexpected, we might experience tears for many days. At times, we might not even be blood related to the person who passed away, but seeing the family with the sudden sorrow they are experiencing deeply affects us, and we are moved to tears. We might not have nice adequate words to say, but tears in these times are a language everyone understands. God uses those tears to draw people closer to each other and to Him. Tears can be healing. Maybe we experience a very personal struggle, and in our prayers to God, we only have tears. God sees and understands! Our friends may not always understand, but Jesus never fails. Even in those dark moments, He wants us to look up to Him in trust and have faith that He can and will work things out in His own time.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Rev. 21:4). What a beautiful picture. What a happy day for God's saved people! What a rejoicing there will be! No more death. No more sorrow. No more crying, and no more tears. No more pain or hurts, physically or emotionally. No more unanswered questions. No more fears about the future. All these things will have passed away forever and forever. Today, in this evil world, we can only dimly imagine such bliss and happiness.

Let us pray for each other and not faint by the way. Heaven will be worth it all!
